Sparks

Sparks are the currency that powers your adventures in Myriad Paths. The system is designed to be as transparent as possible: one turn costs one Spark.

On this page, we'll explain what consumes Sparks, what remains free, how your balance works, and why we chose a pay-as-you-go model.

The core rule is: one turn is one Spark. Every time the Game Master processes your action and moves the story forward, one Spark is used. If you want to generate an image of the current scene, that costs one additional Spark (but it's entirely optional).

However, many features are completely free:

• 5 free turns: Every new story starts with 5 free turns automatically, so you can test the waters before spending anything.
• Character creation: Setting up a custom character costs nothing.
• Failed generations: If the AI encounters an error (a turn doesn't load or an image fails to generate), you won't be charged. Sparks are only deducted for successful actions.

Note on Co-op: If you're playing with friends, the 5 free starter turns are a shared pool for the entire room, not per player. This comes with a daily limit to prevent system abuse.

Here is everything you need to know about managing your Sparks:

• Tied to your account. Your balance is linked to your account, not a specific device. You can switch phones or browsers, and your Sparks will be right there waiting for you.
• No expiration dates. As long as your account is active, your Sparks will never expire. You can buy a pack today and use it months later.
• No subscriptions. We sell Sparks in one-time packs. There are no recurring charges or hidden fees.
• Individual balances in co-op. When playing multiplayer, players don't share a single wallet. Instead, those who opt-in can split the cost of each turn. Read more in Who pays in co-op.

Direct purchases are not available yet. Because we are still in Alpha testing, everyone currently plays using the free turns provided with each story.

You can preview our future Spark packs on the /pricing page (ranging from $1.99 to $29.99, with a +25 Spark bonus for your first purchase). The larger the pack, the better the value per Spark. Full purchasing functionality will be added soon.

Running a high-quality AI model requires significant computing power, which carries real server costs for every generation.

Many free apps cover these costs by showing intrusive ads, selling user data, or restricting the best AI models to expensive monthly tiers. We believe in a different approach.

Our pay-per-turn model guarantees that:

• You get the best available AI model from your very first turn, without paywalls.
• Your experience is completely ad-free.
• Your data and privacy are protected and never sold.

You aren't paying for access to the app; you only pay for the story the AI generates for you, exactly when you need it.
