Your character
Your character
Before stepping into a new world, you need to decide who you'll be.
In every story, you play a central role. When you enter a new world, you have two options: step into the shoes of a pre-made character carefully crafted by the author, or use your voice to create a completely unique hero.
Whichever path you choose, you can always switch characters later. From this screen, you can also access your character's profile, active quests, and the world map.
How to get a character
Pick an existing role or bring a new one to life with your voice.
Choose a pre-made role Most worlds offer a selection of ready-made characters that perfectly fit the story's setting and lore. Simply pick the one you like, and you'll jump straight into the action.
Create your own by voice Want to play someone completely original? Tap the mic icon and describe who you want to be out loud. The Game Master will listen and draft a name, backstory, and skill set based on your ideas. If it looks good, confirm it, and start playing! No forms to fill out — everything is done by voice.
A note on multiplayer and switching: If you're playing with friends, you can't pick a role that someone else has already claimed. However, if you disconnect, your character is safely reserved for you when you return. Want to try a different path? You can open the character menu and switch to another available role (or create a new one) anytime.
Track your progress
Keep an eye on your stats, goals, and surroundings.
To help you navigate your adventure, you have a set of handy tabs at the bottom of the screen:
- Profile — Shows your character's current skills, stats, and background.
- Quests — Tracks your immediate goals and ongoing missions.
- Map — Helps you understand the layout of the world. (Tip: Use the refresh icon if you feel like your stats or quests haven't updated yet).
Immersive backgrounds As you travel, you'll notice the background behind the text changes. The game tracks your current location and automatically updates the artwork, ensuring the scenery always matches exactly where your character is standing right now.
