Troubleshooting microphone access

How to re-enable your microphone if it was blocked or isn't working.

The first time you press the 🎙 button in a story, your browser will ask for permission to use your microphone. If the prompt was dismissed or denied, the browser won't ask again — you'll need to enable it manually.

Here is how to do it depending on your device:

  • iOS Safari: Go to your device Settings → Safari → Microphone and allow access for myriadpaths.ai.
  • Android Chrome: Tap the lock icon in the address bar → Permissions → Microphone → Allow.
  • Desktop Chrome: Click the lock icon in the address bar → Microphone → toggle to Allow.
  • Desktop Safari: Go to the top menu bar Safari → Settings → Websites → Microphone and allow myriadpaths.ai.
  • Firefox / Edge: Click the lock or shield icon in the address bar and adjust the permissions there.

Once you've updated the settings, refresh the page. If the microphone still isn't picking up your voice, try these steps:

  • Open the game in a different browser to see if the issue is browser-specific.
  • Clear cookies and site data for myriadpaths.ai.
  • Try opening the site in an incognito / private window.
  • Make sure no other apps (like Zoom, Discord, or phone calls) are currently using your microphone.

I accidentally denied permission. How do I fix it?

You can restore it in your browser settings. iOS Safari: Settings → Safari → Microphone. Chrome (Mobile & Desktop): tap the lock icon in the address bar → Permissions → Microphone → Allow. After making changes, always refresh the page.

Why does Safari ask for microphone access every time I play?

Due to Apple's privacy features, Safari sometimes resets permissions between sessions. To keep the permission permanently, go to Settings → Safari → Websites → Microphone on your device, and set myriadpaths.ai to Allow instead of 'Ask'.

I can't find the microphone setting on my iPhone. Where is it?

This is usually caused by an outdated browser or operating system. Ensure your device meets the System requirements (iOS 16+ / Android 10+). Also, avoid playing via 'in-app browsers' (like opening a link directly from Telegram or Instagram) — always use your device's native browser.

I'm using a Bluetooth headset, but the game doesn't hear me.

Your browser simply uses the microphone provided by your operating system. Check your OS settings (like System Settings → Sound → Input on macOS) to make sure your headset is selected as the active input device. If you're on a phone, try unpairing and reconnecting the headset.
