Solo or co-op?
Solo or co-op?
The exact same adventure, but you choose who to share it with.
Both modes take place in the exact same kind of game room. The only difference is who is exploring the story with you.
Play solo if you want full control over the pace, or go co-op to share the twists and turns with your friends. The best part? Your choice isn't locked in. You can start a journey entirely alone and invite people to join you later.
Solo
The story waits for you. Play whenever you have a minute.
You are entirely in charge of the pace. The Game Master only responds when you act — if you need time to think, the world waits. You don't have to coordinate with anyone else's schedule.
This is the perfect choice for deep, careful exploration, testing out wild ideas, or playing in short bursts whenever you have a few minutes to spare.
Co-op
One room, one shared story. Experience the consequences together.
In co-op, everyone is in the same room. You all see the exact same scenes, the same generated images, and the same responses from the Game Master. When someone makes a critical choice (or a terrible mistake), everyone experiences the consequences together.
Players take turns acting one at a time (see Playing together). Playing with friends doesn't have to be expensive, either — you can easily split the cost of each turn among the group (see Who pays in co-op).
Resuming and inviting friends
Progress is saved automatically. Invite players anytime via a link.
Your progress saves automatically. You can close the app and resume the story anytime, on any device, right where you left off.
If you're playing solo but realize you need backup, you can turn it into a co-op game mid-story. Just send your friends the room link. When they request to join, you (or anyone already inside) will need to approve them — so make sure you stay in the room to let them in. You can find a step-by-step guide in Inviting & joining.
Note: Opening your account on two different devices does not make it a co-op game. You are still one player. To join as a separate character, your friend needs to sign in with their own account.
